Choose Wire Rope Slings properly - Flexibility and resistance to abrasion, oppositely, are two major characteristics of wire rope slings. Generally, these traits are influenced by the number of wires and the tensile strength of wires. Fewer wires and higher tensile strength mean larger diameter wires, better abrasion resistance, and reduced flexibility on condition that rope diameter is confirmed. On the contrary, more wires and lower tensile strength result in decreased wire diameter, reduced abrasion resistance and increased flexibility.
